Casual Childcare Educator/Chef | Alphington

Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Casual Educator/Cook to join our Alphington team. In this role, you will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs for all children, while also assisting our Kitchen team as required.

Centre Overview:

Our warm and homely Alphington Centre offers a nurturing environment for up to 45 children, fostering growth and development through a strong family-oriented approach.

Our experienced educators are dedicated to building meaningful connections with both children and our families. Through active participation in excursions, Journey Alphington strengthens community involvement, fostering connection and engagement to help children develop a sense of belonging and build lasting relationships both within the centre and the wider community.

About the role:

This is a casual, dual role which will support our kitchen team when our Chef is on leave and further support as an educator on floor when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
• Demonstrated commitment to providing healthy, nutritious meals for children of all ages
• Support the physical care and emotional wellbeing of all children

• Facilitate learning experiences for your designated group of children

To be considered for our team you must hold:

• An ACECQA recognised qualification – certificate III or diploma
• Safe Food Handling Certificate / Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• An approved Working with Children Check – State Specific
• Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
