Our team is dedicated to creating safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environments for children, and we are looking for a skilled Payroll Officer to join our support team.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll processing for our network of Early Learning Centres. This full-time role is crucial to ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, while remaining compliant with all relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing the weekly payroll in Employment Hero and loading bank files
• Managing PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Parental Leave Pay (PPL), and Workers’ Compensation obligations
• Processing employee entitlements and termination
• Management of the payroll email inbox, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups
• Manage new starters, bonus and pay changes
• Ensure compliance within the payroll function in relation to the relevant award, company policies along with legislation and regulation requirements.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Administrate timesheets and liaise with centres for timesheets changes

About You

• Proven experience in E2E Payroll
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, and leave entitlements
• Experience using Employment Hero
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including formulas and Vlook- ups
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
