Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Lead Educator to join our Seymour team in providing a safe and stimulating environment which meets the social, cultural, emotional, educational and physical needs of the children and encourages parent and community participation.

About the role: 

This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday in our Nursery room.
 
As our Lead Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and educational experiences for the children in our care. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times 
  • Lead, develop and implement engaging, high-quality educational programs 
  • Mentor and support educators to plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences. 
  • Overseeing and approving centre Storypark posts 
  • Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity 
  • Provide constructive feedback to educators to promote continuous improvement and a culture of positive change 
  • Collaborate with families to ensure each child’s learning journey is supported and enriched 

About you: 

You are a creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with Educators, children, and families. 

Key skills and requirements: 

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or actively studying towards one. 
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates 
  • Current Child Protection Training Certificate, or willingness to obtain. 
  • Approved working with children Check
  • Demonstrated passion for nurturing the next generation of learners 
  • Experience in leading curriculum development with a focus on play-based learning and holistic education 
  • Strong written communication and literacy skills, with the ability to document and communicate educational progress effectively 
  • An ability to provide feedback that fosters professional growth and a positive team culture 
  • High-level time management skills to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
