Childcare Lead Educator | Seymour

Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Lead Educator to work within the team, leading the planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, for all children in our Toddler and Nursery group at Journey Early Learning | Seymour

This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday.

About the Centre

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new childcare centre in Seymour, set to open in March 2025. With 126 places available for children aged 0-5 years, our centre is designed to provide a warm, family-oriented environment where children can grow, learn, and explore. Nestled in a beautiful and vibrant area, the centre features modern, purpose-built spaces that support both educational and emotional development. We’re committed to creating a nurturing space where children feel safe, supported, and inspired every day. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times 
  • Lead, develop and implement engaging, high-quality educational programs 
  • Mentor and support educators to plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences. 
  • Overseeing and approving centre Storypark posts 
  • Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity 
  • Provide constructive feedback to educators to promote continuous improvement and a culture of positive change 
  • Collaborate with families to ensure each child’s learning journey is supported and enrichd

Who are you?

You are creative and child focussed with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will work as part of the centre team, building strong relationships with educators, children, and families.

Key skills and requirements:

  • An ACECQA recognised Diploma or higher
  • An approved Working with Children Check
  • Experience in leading curriculum development with a focus on play-based learning and holistic education 
  • Demonstrated passion for nurturing the next generation of learners 
  • Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
