Childcare Chef | Carseldine
Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Chef to join our centre name team. Working alongside the Centre Manager, your primary focus will be in delivering high quality food, healthy and nutritious meals to the children in our care.

About the role:
This is a Permanent Part-time opportunity, across Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
As our Childcare Chef, you will be responding for delivering a wholesome, nutritional and visually appealing child menu that consists of breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children,
- Adhere to dietary guidelines and any specific dietary requirements or allergies.
- Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to in the kitchen, including food preparation and servicing areas.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring that general day to day procedures are followed.
- Manage inventory, order food supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with the centre Manager to develop menus that meet the nutritional needs of children.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations including, Journey Early Learning Centre's policies
About you:
You are an experienced Chef who is passionate about creating delicious, healthy meals that fuel young bodies and minds.
Role Requirements:
- Experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare or school setting
- Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary needs
- Knowledge of food safety program requirements
- Understanding of allergies and anaphylaxis
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate
