Are you a passionate Chef looking for a flexible role where you can make a real difference? Journey Early Learning is seeking a Casual Chef to support our centres across the Ballarat region, including Lucas, Lucas Rise, Delacombe, Ballarat East and Sebastopol.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values flexibility and is passionate about preparing fresh, nutritious meals that support children's growth, development and wellbeing.

About the Role

As a Casual Chef, you'll provide support across our Ballarat centres, preparing nutritious meals and snacks that meet children's dietary and nutritional requirements. You'll play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean and organised kitchen while working closely with Centre Leadership Teams to deliver a positive mealtime experience for every child.

No two days will be the same, giving you the opportunity to work with a variety of welcoming teams while making a meaningful impact across multiple centres.

About You

✔ Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally within Early Childhood Education, schools, aged care or a similar environment
✔ Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain if required)
✔ Knowledge of nutrition and allergy-safe food preparation for children
✔ Excellent time management and organisational skills
✔ Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
✔ Reliable, adaptable and willing to travel between our Ballarat region centres
