At Journey, we believe exceptional early learning starts with empowered leaders and supported teams. You'll have the opportunity to lead centre operations, strengthen educational quality and build a positive culture where children, families and educators thrive.

About the Role

As Centre Manager, you'll take ownership of the overall operations, educational quality and performance of Journey Fernvale. You'll lead and develop your team while ensuring the centre delivers high-quality Early Childhood Education and Care in a safe, welcoming and compliant environment.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of Early Childhood professionals
  • Building a positive team culture grounded in trust, collaboration and accountability
  • Overseeing daily centre operations, staffing, budgets and occupancy
  • Supporting high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Driving continuous improvement against the National Quality Standard (NQS)
  • Leading preparation for Assessment and Rating and supporting Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) outcomes
  • Maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), regulations and child safety requirements
  • Building strong relationships with children, families and the local community
  • Monitoring centre performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Partnering with Journey's broader support teams to achieve quality and operational outcomes

You'll have the autonomy to lead your centre, make informed decisions and bring your ideas to life, with a wider leadership network supporting you along the way.

About Our Centre

Journey Early Learning Fernvale is part of our commitment to creating welcoming early learning environments where children, families and educators feel a genuine sense of belonging.

As Centre Manager, you'll have the opportunity to shape your centre's culture, strengthen community relationships and lead a team committed to quality education and care.

Why Join Journey?

At Journey, our Employee Value Proposition is built around four pillars that shape how we support our people and leaders.

You'll also have access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family.

Growth & Development

Continue developing your leadership capability through Journey Academy, professional learning and career progression opportunities. We want our leaders to feel confident in their roles and supported to achieve their goals.

Passion & Possibilities

Bring your passion for Early Childhood Education and create opportunities for your team to grow. You'll help shape educational practice, strengthen relationships with families and create an environment where children can learn, explore and thrive.

About You

You're a confident, people-focused leader who understands how to balance educational quality, operational performance and team wellbeing.

You'll bring:

  • Previous experience as a Centre Manager or in a senior Early Childhood leadership role
  • A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing educators and leadership teams
  • Confidence managing centre operations, staffing, occupancy, budgets and performance
  • Experience with Assessment and Rating, Quality Improvement Plans and continuous improvement
