We're seeking an experienced and values-driven Centre Manager to lead our established and thriving Journey Early Learning Gumdale centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large, high-performing service while continuing to build a positive culture for children, families, and educators. Working closely with Journey's leadership team, you'll drive centre performance, support quality outcomes, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional early learning experiences.

As Centre Manager, you'll be responsible for all aspects of centre operations, team leadership, occupancy, compliance, and community engagement while fostering a workplace where educators feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.

Journey Early Learning Gumdale is a large, established service operating across three hubs, offering strong peer support, shared resources, and collaborative leadership.

With spacious indoor and outdoor environments and an on-site chef, Gumdale provides an enriching space where children, families, and educators thrive.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of health and safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Manage the overall performance and success of the centre
  • Oversee daily operations, budgets, wages, rostering, and occupancy
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
  • Drive a positive centre culture focused on quality and engagement
  • Build strong relationships with families and the wider community
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Advocate for the rights, wellbeing, and development of every child
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of high-quality educational programs

💚 About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Centre Manager
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher (ACECQA recognised)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive occupancy, team engagement, and quality outcomes
  • Strong people leadership and communication skills
  • Experience developing, mentoring, and retaining high-performing teams
  • Passion for building a positive and collaborative workplace culture
  • Commercial acumen across centre operations, budgets, and rostering
  • Calm, confident, and values-led leadership style
