Journey Early Learning is opening a brand-new 98-place centre in Parap this November, and weâre looking for a passionate Childcare Chef to join our team.
This is your opportunity to start with a brand-new team, building connections with children, families and educators while helping create a welcoming centre community from the very beginning.
With our kitchen positioned at the heart of the centre, youâll be a visible and valued part of each day â creating nutritious meals while connecting with the children who enjoy them.
Permanent Part-Time | 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
đ About the Role
Youâll do more than prepare meals. Through our Future Foodies program, youâll help children develop positive relationships with food, explore new flavours and build healthy habits.
Youâll be responsible for:
- Preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks
- Catering for allergies and dietary requirements
- Bringing our Future Foodies program to life
- Managing food ordering and kitchen requirements
- Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Building positive connections with children, families and educators
đ About You
Youâre organised, creative and passionate about creating healthy food children will enjoy.
Key Requirements:
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Commercial Cookery qualifications (preferred)
- Experience preparing nutritious meals for children
- Strong knowledge of allergies and dietary requirements
- Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain)
- Completed National Child Safety Training
- A paid Working With Children Check (OCHRE CARD)
