Journey Early Learning Lucknow is a brand-new 88-place, five-room centre opening in November 2026.
As an Early Childhood Teacher within the founding team, you’ll help establish a kindergarten program that reflects the children, families and community around you.
You’ll have the opportunity to create a learning environment where children’s voice, agency, curiosity and ideas genuinely influence the curriculum.
This is about more than delivering an existing program.
It’s an opportunity to help build one.
Teach with a team around you.
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you’ll:
- Design and deliver meaningful kindergarten learning experiences
- Observe, assess and extend children’s learning
- Develop a responsive program informed by children’s strengths, interests and ideas
- Create opportunities that support children’s voice, autonomy and agency
- Build strong and respectful partnerships with families
- Support children’s transition to school
- Work collaboratively with educators across the centre
- Contribute professional knowledge to reflection and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with your Educational Leader and Centre Manager
- Create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for every child
Supported to grow your teaching practice.
At Journey, you won’t be expected to develop your teaching practice in isolation.
Your Educational Leader will work alongside you, supported by your Centre Manager, Centre Quality Manager and Journey’s broader professional ecosystem.
You’ll also have access to Journey’s ECT mentoring approach, including coaching, professional feedback and support for provisionally registered teachers progressing through the VIT inquiry process.
Through Journey Academy and our broader learning and development opportunities, you’ll have continued opportunities to grow your practice and career.
What you’ll bring
You will ideally hold:
- An ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification
- Current VIT registration, or eligibility to obtain registration
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Standard
- An understanding of contemporary early childhood pedagogy
- Confidence designing, implementing and evaluating kindergarten programs
- Strong communication and family-partnership skills
- A collaborative approach to working with educators and leaders
- A commitment to inclusive practice and children’s agency
- A genuine commitment to child safety and safeguarding
