About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Journey Wallan Central on a parental leave contract. In this role, you will deliver high-quality educational programs that support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.

Working alongside a supportive Centre Leadership Team, you will lead the development of a strong, play-based curriculum and create meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity and growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher to step into a well-supported role and make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement high-quality educational programs aligned with the EYLF
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and development
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Work collaboratively with the team to drive continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation

About You

• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
• Current VIT registration (or relevant state-based registration)
• Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and early childhood legislation
• Confident in curriculum planning, assessment, and documentation
• Passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences for children
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates
