We’re looking for an experienced Educational Leader to join our centre and play a key role in guiding, mentoring, and uplifting practice across the service. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves being present on the floor, supporting teams in the moment, and shaping meaningful learning experiences for children.

🌿 About the Centre

⭐ About the Role

As Educational Leader at Journey Seymour, you’ll play a key role in elevating practice, strengthening pedagogy, and supporting educators to grow with confidence. Working alongside the Centre Leadership Team, you’ll guide intentional teaching, embed reflective practice, and ensure children remain at the centre of everything we do.

This is a Permanent Part-time role, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) and includes:

  • 15 hours per week off the floor

This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about mentoring others, driving quality outcomes, and continuing to develop their own leadership capability in a supportive, values-led environment.

🌱 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and embed high-quality, child-centred pedagogy aligned with the EYLF
  • Mentor and coach educators to strengthen practice and confidence
  • Support reflective practice, documentation, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Centre Leadership to guide curriculum and quality outcomes
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with educators, children, and families
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing

💛 About You

  • Prior experience in an Educational Leader position, 2+ years
  • Hold a Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-recognised)
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Law
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement high-quality educational programs
  • Confident in curriculum planning, assessment, and reflective practice
  • A strong communicator who enjoys coaching, mentoring, and developing others
  • Hold current Asthma, Anaphylaxis, and First Aid Certificates
