We’re looking for an Employee Experience (EX) Specialist who is passionate about people, culture and storytelling—someone who enjoys creating meaningful experiences that build connection, engagement and belonging across a national organisation.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll design and deliver initiatives that enhance the educator experience across Journey.

Working closely with People & Culture, Marketing, Learning & Development and Operations, you’ll coordinate internal communications, engagement campaigns, recognition programs and wellbeing initiatives that celebrate our people and strengthen our culture.

You'll help tell the stories of our educators, support employer branding initiatives and create meaningful experiences that make Journey an employer of choice. 

Based in our Brisbane Support Office, this is a hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days from home), reporting to the Head of Experience.


Key Responsibilities

Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Support and enhance the educator experience across the Journey network. 
  • Coordinate engagement initiatives that strengthen connection, wellbeing and belonging. 
  • Deliver Employee Value Proposition (EVP) initiatives that bring Journey's culture to life. 
  • Support educator recognition programs and celebration initiatives. 
  • Assist in developing engagement strategies that improve educator satisfaction and retention. 
  • Help drive a consistent employee experience across all centres. 

Internal Communications & Storytelling

  • Coordinate internal communications aligned with Journey's values, vision and culture. 
  • Create engaging content showcasing educator stories, achievements and successes. 
  • Support internal communication campaigns across multiple platforms. 
  • Develop communication resources that keep educators informed, inspired and connected. 
  • Champion storytelling that celebrates the impact of our educators every day. 

Culture & Employer Brand

  • Support learning and development communications and campaign delivery. 
  • Coordinate internal events, celebrations and engagement activities. 
  • Assist with recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with People & Culture and Centre teams on culture-building initiatives. 
  • Support wellbeing campaigns and programs that promote a positive workplace experience. 
  • Help strengthen Journey's reputation as an employer of choice.

You'll utilise a range of systems and platforms to engage, communicate and connect with educators, including:

About You

You’re someone who genuinely enjoys bringing people together and creating experiences that make others feel valued.

  • Experience in employee experience, internal communications, engagement, marketing, People & Culture or employer branding. 
  • Exceptional written communication and storytelling skills. 
  • Strong organisational and project coordination abilities. 
  • Confidence managing multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously. 
  • A creative mindset with an eye for engaging content. 
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship and collaboration skills. 
  • A passion for culture, recognition and creating meaningful employee experiences. 
  • The ability to think strategically while delivering high-quality execution.
