Journey Early Learning is seeking an experienced Field Services and Service Desk Technician to join our growing team. You will play a key role in supporting our mission to empower centre staff and nurture young minds.

About the role:

Based in Melbourne with hybrid work flexibility, this role combines remote Level 1 technical support with occasional on-site assistance at childcare centres across NT, QLD and VIC. Working in a team of five and reporting to the Head of IT - you will diagnose and resolve technical issues, maintain IT documentation and collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team.

Fulltime Permanent role across Monay to Friday / flexible working hours.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, user guides and knowledge base articles
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software
  • Conduct routine maintenance and updates to ensure optimal system performance
  • Collaborate with IT team or Vendor support teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
  • Flexibility and readiness to travel to various sites to provide on-site support

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, industry recognised certifications or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a Level 1 or 2 technical support role
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote desktop support tools
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Familiarity with network configurations and system administration
  • Experience working with tools in the o365 suite and Azure
  • Ubiquiti Unifi cloud portal experience advantageous
  • Customer Service Mindset with a strong emphasis on user experience and support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in providing training or onboarding sessions for end-users
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as required
