Journey Early Learning is seeking an experienced Field Services and Service Desk Technician to join our growing team. You will play a key role in supporting our mission to empower centre staff and nurture young minds.

About the role:
Based in Melbourne with hybrid work flexibility, this role combines remote Level 1 technical support with occasional on-site assistance at childcare centres across NT, QLD and VIC. Working in a team of five and reporting to the Head of IT - you will diagnose and resolve technical issues, maintain IT documentation and collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team.
Fulltime Permanent role across Monay to Friday / flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person
- Quickly diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Maintain and update IT documentation, user guides and knowledge base articles
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software
- Conduct routine maintenance and updates to ensure optimal system performance
- Collaborate with IT team or Vendor support teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
- Flexibility and readiness to travel to various sites to provide on-site support
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, industry recognised certifications or equivalent experience
- Experience in a Level 1 or 2 technical support role
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote desktop support tools
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Familiarity with network configurations and system administration
- Experience working with tools in the o365 suite and Azure
- Ubiquiti Unifi cloud portal experience advantageous
- Customer Service Mindset with a strong emphasis on user experience and support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in providing training or onboarding sessions for end-users
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Driver’s license
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required
