Journey Early Learning Gumdale is looking for a Diploma-qualified Lead Educator to lead our Junior Kindy 2 room, supporting children aged 2–3 years.

With a strong new leadership team in place, it’s an exciting time to join Gumdale. You’ll have the support to bring your ideas, build a positive room culture and create meaningful learning experiences for children during an important stage of their development.

Permanent Position | Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week

✨ Lead Our Junior Kindy 2 Room

Working with our 2–3-year-olds, you’ll lead a team to create a nurturing and engaging environment that supports growing independence, confidence and curiosity.

You’ll:

• Lead, mentor and support your team of educators
• Create engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
• Build meaningful relationships with children and families
• Support children’s individual learning, development and wellbeing
• Guide planning, observations and Storypark documentation
• Bring your ideas to your room and learning environments
• Work closely with your Centre Leadership Team to support quality practice

💛 About You

You’re a passionate educator who enjoys leading others and wants the opportunity to take ownership of your room while continuing to develop your own leadership skills.

You’ll bring:

• ACECQA-recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Lead Educator experience or strong experience with the confidence to step into a Lead role
• Experience with toddlers or Junior Kindy-aged children
• Strong understanding of the EYLF and play-based learning
• Confidence mentoring and supporting educators
• A positive, collaborative and relationship-focused approach
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
• Completed National Child Safety Training
