Childcare Lead Educator | Nightcliff

Centre Overview:

Journey Nightcliff is a purpose-built centre designed to give children aged six weeks to six years the best possible start to their early learning journey. Located on Progress Drive in the heart of Darwin, our centre offers vibrant indoor and outdoor play spaces, exciting excursions and incursions, and a warm, inclusive community that celebrates culture and connection.

About the role:

This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday within our Nursery space.

As our Lead Educator, you’ll play a key role in shaping nurturing, engaging, and play-based learning environments. You’ll guide your team, build strong relationships with families, and support every child’s growth through quality education and care. With the support of your Centre Leadership Team, you’ll continue to develop your skills and career within a workplace that values your expertise and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
• Design and implement learning experiences to be included in children's developmental program. 
• Assisting in the observation and evaluation of children's individual strengths, interests, and preferences
• Guide and support your team, ensuring a collaborative teaching, and interactive learning environment

About you:

You are creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with educators, children, and families.

Key skills and requirements:

• An ACECQA recognised Certificate III or higher
• Experience leading and developing age specific programs and routines
• An approved Working with Children Check – OCHRE Card
• Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
