Childcare Centre Manager | St Albans  

Launch something meaningful from day one. Journey Early Learning is seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Manager to lead the opening of our brand new, purpose-built centre in St Albans, opening in late August.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a high-performing team and create a centre culture from the ground up! Right from the moment the doors open.

Centre Overview 

Our new centre will be a vibrant and modern space designed for child-led learning, meaningful connection, and community engagement. Located near our existing Melbourne services, St Albans represents our continued commitment to delivering high-quality education and care across Victoria.

About the role

You’ll be involved in everything from day one - from hiring and mentoring your team, to embedding Journey’s values, to shaping the look and feel of the learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times 
• Managing the performance and success of your centre 
• Management of daily operations, budgets, wages, rostering, occupancy 
• Lead, coach, develop and support the professional development of your team 
• Developing strong relationships with families and the community 
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations 
• Advocating for the rights of every child within your centre 
• Implementation and evaluation of quality programs that support the development of all children. 

About you

You’re a confident and visionary leader who’s ready to take ownership of a new service. You bring a deep commitment to early learning, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire and unify a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Previous experience working in a leadership role 
• Demonstrated commitment to providing a safe, caring and supportive environment for all children and their families 
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to the ECA code of Ethics and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child 
• Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours while engaging with children 
• ACECQA-approved Diploma in Children’s Services or bachelor’s degree (Early Education) 
• Current Valid Working with Children Check 
• Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
