A rare opportunity to lead a small portfolio, embed practice deeply, and grow with Journey.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on leadership role with a small, well‑defined portfolio that allows you to truly get your hands around practice, people and performance.
You’ll work closely with Centre Managers and Centre Leadership Teams, supporting them to embed Journey’s Values, Standards and educational approach, while driving consistent outcomes across quality, compliance, culture and performance.
South Gippsland is an important growth region for Journey, with a strong pipeline of new centre builds and the potential for future acquisitions, allowing this role to grow over time.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Partner with Centre Managers to strengthen leadership capability and confidence
- Support monthly reflection on Journey’s 7 Success Factors, driving clear actions and accountability
- Embed quality practice and support teams through continuous improvement and QIP cycles
- Ensure compliance and child safety are the foundation of everything we do
- Support centres through growth, change and performance uplift
- Build strong relationships with teams, families and local communities
- Work as part of Journey’s broader support ecosystem around each service
About You
You’re a leader who:
- Has experience leading and supporting early learning centres (or a closely aligned sector)
- Loves being present in services, coaching leaders side‑by‑side
- Understands what drives centre performance and sustainable outcomes
- Is confident using structured frameworks like the 7 Success Factors
- Leads with authenticity, care and clarity
- Is excited by the opportunity to grow a region, not just maintain it
Why Journey?
- A small portfolio (3 centres) allowing real depth and impact
- A growth region with new centres and future opportunities
- Strong internal support across operations, education and wellbeing
- A values‑led organisation guided by Connection, Consideration and Communication
- A culture that values curiosity, continuous improvement and shared success
