Lead Educator – Nursery | Banyo

Journey Early Learning Banyo is looking for an experienced Diploma-qualified Lead Educator to lead our Nursery Room.

You’ll lead a supportive team to create a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, secure and supported to thrive. We’re looking for someone with previous Nursery and Lead Educator experience who is passionate about responsive care, meaningful relationships and quality early learning.

Permanent Part-time Position | Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours

✨ About the Role

As our Nursery Lead Educator, you’ll:

• Lead and support a collaborative team of educators
• Create nurturing, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
• Support individual routines, development and wellbeing
• Build secure and meaningful relationships with babies and their families
• Mentor educators and promote consistent, responsive practices
• Contribute to observations, planning and Storypark documentation
• Maintain a safe, calm and engaging Nursery environment
• Work closely with the Centre Leadership Team

💛 About You

You’re a warm and confident Lead Educator with a genuine passion for working with babies. You understand that strong relationships, responsive care and communication with families are at the heart of a quality Nursery environment.

You’ll bring:

• ACECQA-recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Previous experience as a Lead Educator
• Demonstrated experience working within a Nursery setting
• Strong understanding of infant development, routines and responsive care
• Confidence leading, mentoring and supporting educators
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
• Completed National Child Safety Training
