⭐ Lead Educator | Essendon 

Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Lead Educator to join our team in providing a safe and stimulating environment which meets the social, cultural, emotional, educational and physical needs of the children and encourages parent and community participation. 

⭐ About the Role

This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across 5 daysMonday to Friday based in the Nursery

As the Lead Educator, you will play a key role in creating a warm, engaging, and stimulating environment where toddlers can thrive. You will lead curriculum planning, mentor fellow educators within your room, and build strong relationships with children and families while ensuring high-quality educational outcomes.

🌱 Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times 
  • Lead, develop and implement engaging, high-quality educational programs 
  • Mentor and support educators to plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences. 
  • Overseeing and approving centre Storypark posts 
  • Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity 
  • Provide constructive feedback to educators to promote continuous improvement and a culture of positive change 
  • Collaborate with families to ensure each child’s learning journey is supported and enriched

💛 About You

You are a creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with Educators, children, and families. 

Key skills and requirements: 

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
• Previous experience as a Lead Educator or strong experience working within a Nursery Room
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Passion for delivering high-quality early childhood education and care
• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain)
