About the Role

As a Lead Educator at Journey Tatura, you will take the lead in delivering high-quality education and care within your room. You’ll be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

Working alongside a supportive Centre Leadership Team, you will guide and mentor educators, lead curriculum planning, and ensure best practice is embedded into everyday learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of a high-quality, play-based curriculum aligned with the EYLF
• Guide and support educators within your room to build capability and confidence
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all children
• Maintain strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community
• Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and service policies
• Contribute to reflective practice and continuous improvement

About You

• Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-recognised equivalent)
• Previous experience as a Lead Educator or strong experience as a Senior Educator
• Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and early childhood regulations
• Confident in programming, documentation, and assessment of children’s learning
• A supportive and collaborative approach to mentoring team members
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Hold current Asthma, Anaphylaxis, and First Aid Certificates
