What’s the role?
This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday.
As our new Permanent Childcare Educator, you'll play a vital role in creating strong, meaningful connections with children, families, colleagues, and the entire center community. Passionate about guiding children's learning, you'll also have the opportunity to grow your own knowledge and career in the childcare sector. Supported by our Centre Leadership Team, you'll develop essential skills to become an inspiring Educator within the Journey community
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Bringing the Journey Values of connection, communication and consideration to life and reflect this in everyday practice.
- Ability to adhere to Journey’s child safe policy and code of conduct
- Assisting with observations of individuals and groups of children
- Assisting in the evaluation of children in terms of individual strengths, weaknesses, interests and preferences, which is then used to design activities to be included in the programme.
- Assisting with the program design, implemented, and evaluated in consultation with others to foster all aspect of children’s development in a holistic way.
- Working as an effective team member and within the defined position description.
- Seek and accept support from your Lead Educators, Educational Leader and Centre Manager
Who are you?
You are a creative, child-focused professional with a passion for leading and developing age-specific programs and daily routines. As part of the center team, you'll collaborate closely with Educators while building strong, lasting relationships with children and families
Key skills and requirements:
- An ACECQA recognised Diploma or higher
- Experience leading and developing age specific programs and routines
- An approved Working with Children Check (State Specific)
- Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
