Childcare Early Childhood Teacher | Fernvale

Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our Fernvale team. In this rewarding role, you will plan, implement, and evaluate engaging programs that inspire young minds and support the holistic growth and development of children in the kindergarten age group.

About the role:

This is a full-time opportunity across Monday to Friday.

As an ECT, you will lead the creation of an engaging, inclusive environment where every child is supported in their social, emotional, cultural, and educational journey. You will guide your team in developing play-based learning programs that reflect each child’s interests and strengths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Create, develop and implement high quality and engaging educational programs
  • Facilitate play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities
  • Observing and documenting children's progress and development
  • Fostering positive relationships with children, families and the community
  • Develop and participate in a variety of community projects and initiatives
  • Be part of a collaborative teaching and interactive learning environment

About you:

You are a warm, enthusiastic, and experienced Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to creating inspiring, age-appropriate learning experiences. You’re confident in your ability to lead pedagogy, build respectful relationships, and contribute positively to a centre that values Trust & Belief, Growth & Development, Support & Wellbeing, and Passion & Possibilities.

Key skills and requirements:

  • ACECQA Approved Bachelor's/ Master’s Degree or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Outstanding level of verbal and written communication
  • Strong Knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
  • Strong computer skills
  • Current approved First Aid Certificate
  • Current approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
