We are looking for a passionate Centre Chef to join our team at our Burwood early learning centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing fresh and nutritious meals. 

About the role

As our Centre Chef, you will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children each day. You will play an important role in supporting children’s wellbeing through healthy, balanced meals while maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen organisation.

You will work closely with the Centre Leadership Team to ensure meals meet dietary requirements and create positive mealtime experiences for children.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children daily
• Cater for allergies, dietary and cultural requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
• Manage food ordering, stock rotation and kitchen supplies
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

About you

• Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook
• Passion for preparing healthy, child-friendly meals
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Good organisation and time management skills
• Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
