Lead Educator – Toddler Room | Gumdale

🌟 About the Role

We’re seeking a confident and nurturing Lead Educator to lead our Toddler room at Journey Early Learning Gumdale. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys guiding a team, creating consistency, and fostering a positive, collaborative culture within a busy environment.

You’ll lead a passionate room team to create a warm and engaging learning space where toddlers feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore their growing independence. You’ll be supported to strengthen your leadership skills while embedding high‑quality, best‑practice outcomes.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity across Monday-Friday working 37.5 hours per week.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times 
• Lead, develop and implement engaging, high-quality educational programs for our Toddlers 
• Mentor and support educators to plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences. 
• Overseeing and approving centre Storypark posts 
• Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity 
• Provide constructive feedback to educators to promote continuous improvement and a culture of positive change 
• Collaborate with families to ensure each child’s learning journey is supported and enriched 
  
  

💛 About You

• ACECQA‑recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Experience as a Lead Educator or confident educator ready to step into leadership
• Strong understanding of toddler development and responsive practice
• Confident, calm communicator who leads with positivity and respect
• Ability to build strong relationships within a team setting
• Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates
• Experience using Storypark (or similar platforms)
