Journey Gumdale is looking for a passionate and confident Lead Educator to join our vibrant team. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, loves mentoring others, and is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that help children flourish.

As a Lead Educator, you’ll guide your team to deliver engaging, play-based programs that spark curiosity, build confidence, and support every child’s individual development. Supported by an experienced leadership team, you’ll be empowered to grow your own leadership capability while making an impact each day.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity, working 37.5 hours across Monday to Friday.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing

✅ Leading and supporting a collaborative team of educators
✅ Creating engaging, high-quality learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
✅ Building meaningful relationships with children, families, and the wider centre community
✅ Supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and development through responsive practice
✅ Mentoring educators and contributing to a positive team culture
✅ Contributing to Storypark documentation and children’s learning journeys
✅ Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment

💛 About You

You are a nurturing and motivated educator who enjoys leading by example and supporting others to grow.

You’ll bring:

• ACECQA-recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Experience as a Lead Educator, or confidence stepping into leadership
• Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning
• A positive, calm, and collaborative leadership style
• Confidence building strong relationships with families and teams
• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
• Experience with Storypark or similar platforms (desirable)
