Lead Educator – Toddler Room | Gumdale

Journey Gumdale is looking for an experienced Diploma-qualified Lead Educator to join our Toddler Room.

This is a great opportunity for an educator who loves the toddler years, enjoys mentoring others and is passionate about creating a warm, engaging environment where children feel safe, supported and confident to learn through play. Working alongside a supportive leadership team, you’ll lead your room, build strong relationships with children and families, and support your team to deliver high-quality early learning experiences.

Permanent Part-Time | 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday

✨ What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting a team of educators
• Planning engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
• Building strong relationships with children, families and educators
• Supporting toddlers’ learning, development and wellbeing
• Mentoring educators and contributing to a positive team culture
• Contributing to Storypark documentation and learning journeys
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

💛 About You

You’re a nurturing and confident educator who understands the unique needs of toddlers and enjoys leading by example.

You’ll bring:

• An ACECQA-recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Lead Educator experience or confidence stepping into leadership
• Strong understanding of toddler development and play-based learning
• A calm, positive and collaborative leadership style
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
• Completed National Child Safety Training
• Storypark experience is desirable
