Lead Educator – Nursery Room | St Albans

🌟 About the Role

We’re seeking a warm, nurturing, and confident Lead Educator to guide our Nursery room at St Albans. In this role, you’ll lead a small team to create a calm, responsive, and engaging environment where children feel safe, secure, and supported from the very beginning.

You’ll play a key role in establishing consistent routines, supporting secure attachments, and delivering high‑quality, age‑appropriate learning experiences. Working closely with the Centre Leadership Team, you’ll be supported to grow your leadership capability while embedding best practice.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Lead a high‑quality nursery program focused on early development
• Create a nurturing environment that supports wellbeing, routines, and secure relationships
• Design and implement age‑appropriate, play‑based learning experiences
• Observe, document, and reflect on children’s learning and developmental milestones
• Mentor and guide educators, building a collaborative and supportive team culture
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance at all times

💛 About You

• ACECQA‑recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Experience working as a Lead Educator in a Nursery or Infant room, with confidence leading practice
• A calm, patient, and supportive leadership style
• Excellent communication skills
• Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis, and First Aid certificates
• Experience using Storypark (or similar documentation platforms)
