Centre Overview:

Journey Early Learning Carseldine is a state-of-the-art centre catering to 120 children aged six weeks to six years old. Our stunning environment sparks curiosity, imagination, and creativity, with a sustainability garden, play fort, sports zone, water play area, and natural exploration spaces – it’s a true child’s wonderland! Plus, with our close connection to a retirement village, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build enriching intergenerational relationships.

About the Role:

As an Early Childhood Teacher at Journey Early Learning, you’ll play a key role in shaping the lives of young learners. You’ll create a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, educational, and physical needs. Your role includes developing and implementing dynamic educational programs that nurture the overall well-being and growth of the children in your care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest standards of health and safety at all times.
  • Design and deliver engaging, play-based educational programs.
  • Create learning environments tailored to children’s interests, strengths, and abilities.
  • Observe, document, and celebrate each child’s progress and development.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with children, families, and the wider community.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to community-focused initiatives.
  • Engage in a collaborative and interactive teaching environment.


About You:

You are a creative and inspired educator, passionate about developing engaging, high-quality programs for young children. You thrive in a collaborative environment and love building strong relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • ACECQA-approved Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
